Water Heater Services in Lakewood, CA
Licensed water heaters pros serving Lakewood and the surrounding Gateway Cities area — 24/7, with same-day appointments.
Lakewood homeowners have called Power Pro first for 20+ years — for everything from middle-of-the-night emergencies to planned upgrades. Your service is dispatched from our Cerritos office, so a licensed, background-checked technician is genuinely nearby, not "in your area" in name only.
The Gateway Cities are classic 1950s tract-home territory along the 605, 91, and 710, where slab-on-grade foundations make slab leaks a signature local problem. Original galvanized supply pipe and cast-iron drains from that era are now 60-plus years old. Imported water in much of the area is hard, so water heaters scale up quickly without regular flushing.
Every visit starts the same way: we diagnose, explain your options in plain language, and put exact pricing in writing before any work begins. We back it with a price match guarantee and a 100% satisfaction guarantee — and 1,400+ Google reviews across Los Angeles & Orange County keep us honest.
Lakewood facts that shape water heater work
Water hardness
The City of Lakewood (city wells) reported average hardness of 152 mg/L (about 8.9 grains per gallon) in 2024 water quality testing, with samples ranging 127–184 mg/L — hard on the USGS scale. Hardness minerals settle as sediment in the bottom of a tank water heater, so at 8.9 grains per gallon regular flushing does more to protect a Lakewood tank than it would on soft water.

Electric utility & rebates
Electric service in Lakewood comes from Southern California Edison (SCE), the utility a heat pump water heater would run on if you switch from a gas tank.

Permits
Even a like-for-like water heater swap at a Lakewood address needs a permit from the City of Lakewood Building and Safety Division, and California requires the new heater to be seismically strapped. We pull the Lakewood permit and meet the inspector.
