Downey sits squarely in our home territory — Power Pro has served Los Angeles County homeowners for 20+ years from three local offices, and your call is dispatched from the Cerritos office nearby. Same-day appointments, upfront written pricing, and a price match guarantee come standard.
The Gateway Cities are classic 1950s tract-home territory along the 605, 91, and 710, where slab-on-grade foundations make slab leaks a signature local problem. Original galvanized supply pipe and cast-iron drains from that era are now 60-plus years old. Imported water in much of the area is hard, so water heaters scale up quickly without regular flushing.

What we do in Downey
Which systems fit Downey homes?
Gateway Cities housing leans toward a couple of recognizable home types — and the right plumbing and comfort systems follow the house, not the brochure.
Slab-on-Grade Tract Home
1970s–1990s
Best fit: High-efficiency AC or heat pump on your existing ducts. Concrete slab, attic ducts, builder-grade AC + furnace.
Postwar Ranch
1950s–1960s
Best fit: Ducted heat pump or AC — with the ducts tested first. Single story, galvanized supply pipe, maybe a floor furnace.
