Water Heater Services in Costa Mesa, CA
Licensed water heaters pros serving Costa Mesa and the surrounding Coastal Orange County area — 24/7, with same-day appointments.
Costa Mesa homeowners have called Power Pro first for 20+ years — for everything from middle-of-the-night emergencies to planned upgrades. Your service is dispatched from our Anaheim office, so a licensed, background-checked technician is genuinely nearby, not "in your area" in name only.
Salt air is the defining factor on the OC coast — condenser coils, flues, and exposed fittings corrode measurably faster within a couple miles of the water. Older beach cottages in downtown Huntington and the Newport peninsula still carry prewar-era plumbing. Many coastal homes historically skipped AC and are now adding ductless systems as summers warm.
Every visit starts the same way: we diagnose, explain your options in plain language, and put exact pricing in writing before any work begins. We back it with a price match guarantee and a 100% satisfaction guarantee — and 1,400+ Google reviews across Los Angeles & Orange County keep us honest.
Costa Mesa facts that shape water heater work
Water hardness
Mesa Water District (groundwater) reported average hardness of 109 mg/L (about 6.4 grains per gallon) in 2024 water quality testing, with samples ranging 21.3–237 mg/L — moderately hard on the USGS scale. Hardness minerals settle as sediment in the bottom of a tank water heater, so at 6.4 grains per gallon regular flushing does more to protect a Costa Mesa tank than it would on soft water.

Permits
Even a like-for-like water heater swap at a Costa Mesa address needs a permit from the City of Costa Mesa Building Safety Division, and California requires the new heater to be seismically strapped. We pull the Costa Mesa permit and meet the inspector.
